To be successful at this caper the trick is, for most ITU racers, is to peak for a few key races and try to hang in there on the razors edge of form for the others. This year with the focus firmly on Beijing for the upper echelon of the ITU athletes the start to the season is important because athletes can peak early and then build for the most important race of the year.
