5 great running tunes

Winter has us by the neck and is giving us a good shake. So weather report over the point is that it is becoming increasingly harder to motivate yourself to get out on the road for a ride or a run when the weather is not good. So many athletes these days run with an Mp3 player to keep them up and about or to motivate them to get out in this weather.

We like to get out and go for a run and so we took a straw poll round the office to see what our crew was listening to. These are in no particular order;
  • 'Stronger' Kayne West - A little obvious but if you take the lyrics into mind you could add a little sting in the step. Of course you might be tempted to strut instead of run.
  • 'Let's get it started' Black eyed peas - The start of this one is repetitive and may lend itself to a warm up. If you forgot it essentially starts with the lyric runnin runnin runnin runnin runnin... well you get the picture.
  • 'Kryptonite' 3 doors down - This has to be a bit of a bogan anthem. To find out what a bogan is then click here. However this is a good song that might get you fired up Rocky style.
  • 'The power of love' Celene Dion - Ok this one threw us a bit. The explanation was that it just made this person angry anytime he heard Celine's work. Hey whatever gets you going!!
  • 'Lose yourself' Eminem - The quintessential "I'm going to show you guys!" kind of tune. Great if you want to give yourself that under dog tag. But then you have to go the whole deal and go live in a trailer!
So we have listed some of ours.. what are your favorite tunes to run to?

The Feelers, Pressure man, if this doesn't get you going nothing will. Also Cassius, Toop Toop is a good one.
I just compiled a special playlist for the gold coast marathon, I could go on, and on, and on ;D
